A new customer magazine for Cotswold Company called HOMELIFE

In January 2021 Cotswold Company approached me, asking if I could pull together a team to create their first editorially-led customer magazine. Oh, and they wanted it printed and with customers by April.

I turned to some former colleagues, who I’d worked with on IKEA magazine and various other projects. One thing Cotswold Co were keen to show was a hint of life in their pictures that they hadn’t managed before, and they wanted to tell rich stories about their brand. It was important to communicate the stories behind their suppliers, the importance they lay on quality and sustainability, as well as connection to nature and the seasons.

We quickly pulled together pages of ideas, look and feel documents, and worked their brand purpose documents into useable brand pillars that could underpin everything that we did. Our shoots also had to provide commercial content for their website, and sell particular brand stories.

We partnered with paint companies and influencers, and used the best photographers, stylists and journalists in the industry to create a really quality magazine.
